Week of Prayer Emails

To receive the daily prayer themed emails during our Week of Prayer, you need to have a profile on ChurchSuite (our church database) and have the Receive general emails checked. Here is how you do that by updating your profile, or creating a new one:

We want to hear what God is saying to us. We are encouraging everyone to listen to God throughout 2024 and not only during the Week of Prayer. So please let us know by:

Understanding the Power of Fasting

Our need for food means that when we fast, we do get hungry. That hunger reminds us of how dependent we are on God. When we are well fed, we can feel very powerful and independent. Hunger quickly reveals we are not as together as we think we are and we are quickly reminded of our desperate need of grace. Fasting deals a death blow to arrogance and pride and throws us back on God’s faithfulness.

Rhythms of Prayer

Morning

Use the Lord’s Prayer to get some time with God.

Lunchtime

Pray for the lost with 2 lists:

  1. Lost List – friends, family and those near to us who we would love to discover Jesus and who we want to pray for on a regular basis.

  2. Neighbourhood – start praying for the households around you, homes to the left, right and in front of your home. 5-10 households.

Evening

Prayers of thanks – to thank God for all the things he has done and given to you throughout that day.

To help establish this rhythm, we will be hosting a Zoom Prayer Meeting for 15 minutes each day from the Monday to Friday during the Week of Prayer at:
